Chill-Out with Summer Reading:
Read ANY 5 books this summer (on your grade level) and write a response about one! Bring your reading log to the library the first week of school and get invited to our Back to School Summer Reading Party with food, prizes, and fun! Reading Log available below. Pop-Up Libraries! Stay cool with books from the RRISD Pop-Up Libraries! Round Rock ISD Librarians will be hosting “Pop-Up Libraries” in multiple locations on different days and times throughout the District this summer. Choose books to take home. Check the schedule below for Pop-Up locations, times and dates. |
MARCH 1 .... Hogwarts Readathon sponsored by the Deerpark Library Club is excited to announce that our 2nd annual Readathon event was a HUGE success! Students raised over $4500 to promote campus and community literacy through buying new books for the Deerpark Library, classroom libraries, and a community literacy project as well. Thank you for supporting this event!
Starbooks Book Fair success!
We are so grateful for the support and turnout for this year's book fair! Huge thanks to Janna Bisking and Sarah Hoflich, our PTA Book Fair Chairs, who rallied a great crew to run an amazing event!
260 books for Teacher Classroom libraries were purchased with Readathon money raised by our Deerpark students at the Hogwarts Readathon!

- 50 books added to the DMS Library collection
- 50 books selected for student prizes for Library Reading Challenges
- $1700 for purchasing books for the Library collection to replace old books and get new release titles.
- HUNDREDS of new books went out into the Deerpark community through book sales!
Other FAVORITE highlights:
- Watching over 80 students (and Ms. Ali!) perform at our first-ever Family Night with the Arts at the Book Fair...talented students from choir, band, orchestra, art, theater stepped up bravely to perform their talent on a small stage for their families and friends! It was such a joy to see so many people turn out to cheer for the DMS Arts and buy BOOKS!
- Illuminate Coffee Bar provided FREE COFFEE and apple cider for our families at Family Night! Nicest owner ever. Support their local coffee shop in Cedar Park!
